In the first segment, senior librarian Lim Tin Seng uses historical photos, maps, newspapers, and reports to trace its journey—from early street vending to today’s hawker centres—highlighting its lasting legacy and UNESCO recognition.

In the second segment, "From Streets to Stalls" author Ryan Kueh discusses the culture’s origins, historical shifts, and its ongoing social and cultural significance.
